SOLTI Young -New Generation Breast- was born from the desire to create a space that recognizes the particularities and challenges faced by young professionals dedicated to the treatment of cancer, especially breast cancer, to promote their academic and scientific development and their active role in the creation of clinical trials.
SOLTI Young is a group created by and for young oncologists. It is lead by young spanish oncologists professionals: Dr. Pablo Tolosa and Dr. Rodrigo Sánchez-Bayona, from Hospital 12 de Octubre de Madrid; Dr.Èlia Seguí, Dr.Olga Martínez, and Dr. Francesco Schettini, from Hospital Clínic de Barcelona; and Dr. Lucía Sanz, from Hospital Vall d’Hebron and VHIO Barcelona.
SOLTI Young’s areas of activity are focused on three main axes: training, mentoring and research.
In addition to activating various initiatives within these 3 major areas, SOLTI Young has also created the audiovisual initiative SOLTI Young Perspectives, with the aim of disseminating the most outstanding studies and advances from the main international congresses in the field of oncology.
Membership criteria:
• To be an active member of SOLTI. How to become a SOLTI member.
• To be up to 40 years old and to work as Medical Oncology specialist in the area of breast cancer – though not exclusively – or in other specialities related to the treatment of people with cancer
• Members must demonstrate interest in and commitment to the group by committing to participate either actively in the development of at least one of the activities planned by the Coordinating Committee, or by participating as an audience member at least once a year, or by collaborating on research projects promoted by SOLTI Young.
